Last updated: 15 September 2025 · Version 2.4
Short version. We use only the minimum cookies needed to make the site work — namely your consent record and your language preference. We do not use third-party analytics, advertising or social-media tracking cookies. The full inventory is in the table below; you can change your preferences at any time using the controls in this policy.
Contents
1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website when you visit it. They allow the site to recognise your browser between requests, remember your preferences, and — where used by third parties — measure how the site is used.
For the purposes of this policy, "cookies" also covers similar technologies such as localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB, pixels, and tracking SDKs. Where we use such technologies, the same rules apply.
2. Cookies we use
We classify cookies into four categories, following the European Data Protection Board's guidance:
- Strictly necessary — required for the site to function. They cannot be disabled because the site would break without them. Set without consent under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in operating the Site) and the ePrivacy Directive's exception for "strictly necessary" cookies.
- Functional — remember choices you make (e.g. language preference) so you don't have to set them every visit. Off by default; enabled only with your consent.
- Analytics — measure aggregate usage to help us improve the Site. Not currently in use.
- Marketing / advertising — track you across sites for advertising. Not currently in use.
3. Cookie inventory
The complete set of cookies set by amdis.me, as of the date at the top of this page:
| Name | Category | Purpose | Lifetime | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Necessary | Records which categories of cookies you have accepted (timestamp + choice). Read by the consent banner on each visit. | 12 months | AMDIS d.o.o. (first-party) | |
| Functional | Stores your language preference (e.g. EN vs ME) so we don't show the switcher toggle on every page. | 12 months | AMDIS d.o.o. (first-party) | |
| (if applicable) | Necessary | Server-side session identifier used by some hosting environments to route the request. Contains no personal data. | Session | Hosting provider (first-party) |
No third-party cookies — including Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, LinkedIn Insight, or any advertising network — are loaded by this Site. If we ever add analytics, this table and the consent banner will be updated before any non-essential cookie is set.
4. Third-party access
The only third party with access to cookie data is our hosting provider, which may inspect cookies stored in the user's browser as part of serving the Site. Our hosting provider:
- Processes cookie data only on our documented instructions (Art. 28 GDPR).
- Does not use the data for its own purposes.
- Stores data within the EU/EEA.
External font assets are loaded from fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com (Google Ireland Ltd.). This is a strictly necessary request to render the Site's typography — no tracking cookies are set by Google Fonts, and IP addresses are not logged for advertising purposes.
5. Manage your preferences
You can change your cookie preferences at any time. The controls below mirror the consent banner. Your choice is stored in amdis_consent for 12 months.
6. Browser controls
In addition to the controls above, you can manage cookies through your browser. Each major browser lets you delete existing cookies, block all or specific cookies, and set exceptions for specific sites. Where to find these settings:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Cookies and site data
If you block all cookies, the Site will still load, but features that depend on your stored preferences (such as the consent banner memory) will behave as if every visit is your first.
7. Do Not Track
We honour the Do Not Track (DNT) and Global Privacy Control (GPC) browser signals. When either is detected, we treat the signal as a refusal of consent for any non-essential cookies and do not load them.
8. Changes
We may update this Cookie Policy to reflect changes in the cookies we use or in the applicable law. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage for at least 30 days before taking effect, and you will be asked to confirm your preferences again when the consent banner next appears.
