Founded in Podgorica in 2014, AMDIS d.o.o. exists to bridge the gap between international pharmaceutical manufacturers and the patients of the Western Balkans — through regulatory excellence, GDP-certified logistics and disciplined commercial execution.

Our story

Founded by pharmacists,
built for manufacturers.

AMDIS was founded in 2014 by a group of pharmacists and regulatory professionals who saw the same problem from both sides: talented pharma companies struggling to enter the Western Balkans, and patients waiting too long for innovative therapies to reach them.

The first years were spent building the infrastructure: GDP-certified warehousing, validated cold-chain capacity, qualified persons, and the regulatory dossiers needed to operate in 14 different national markets simultaneously. By 2017 we had our first commercial launches.

Today our team of 28 includes pharmacists, regulatory specialists, supply-chain engineers and commercial leaders — many of whom trained at Hemofarm, Stada, Novartis and Roche before joining AMDIS.

We align our KPIs with yours. We protect your brand equity as if it were our own. We share market intelligence transparently and act on it quickly. We are an extension of your country organisation.

GDP, GMP, GDPR — non-negotiable.

Regulatory compliance is the foundation, not the goal. Every audit is a chance to improve; every deviation is a chance to learn. We are honest with inspectors, with partners, and with ourselves.

2014

Founded in Podgorica

AMDIS d.o.o. registered as a wholesale distribution authorisation holder by CInMED. First team of 4 people.

2016

EU GDP certification

GDP certification awarded after a full inspection cycle. Cold-chain capacity commissioned. First EU member-state registrations filed.

2018

First major manufacturer partnership

Multi-year exclusive distribution agreement signed for the Balkans. Portfolio reaches 60 SKUs.

2020

Expanded therapeutic reach

Oncology specialty division launched with dedicated cold-chain protocols. Pharmacovigilance team hired.

2022

Crossed 100 SKUs

Active in 14 markets. Implemented serialisation and aggregation in line with EU Falsified Medicines Directive.

2025

240+ SKUs, 28 team members

Three new manufacturer partnerships signed. ISO 14001 environmental certification underway.
